Cats & kittens available for adoption

Adopting a cat can be one of the most rewarding life experiences, but before you decide to welcome a cat into your home, please ensure you are ready for the commitment.

Our fully trained volunteers will complete a home check prior to you adopting a cat or kitten, to make sure that the environment is suitable and to assess which cats/kittens would be a good match.

Below is a gallery of cats available. If you are interested in any of the cats, please call us on 07425 327772 and leave a CLEAR message including your name and phone number, and a volunteer will be in touch shortly.

Please be aware that we don’t advertise kittens, but often have many in our care. Contact us and we can let you know about any available or put you on a waiting list, as we often have pregnant mums. Kittens are not rehomed until they are 9 weeks old.

Bella
Age: 4-5 years

Can you help us find a forever home for lovely Bella? Bella is around 4-5 years old and has sadly had an unsettled past and has been moved around a lot. We at Lancaster and Morecambe Cat Rescue are keen to get her into a long-term home with someone who is experienced with cats and has the patience to continue helping her to feel safe, secure and loved.

Bella is a clever and confident girl who enjoys a snuggle. She has been with her fosterer for a while now and has recently graduated from cat flap school (as in, she's learned how to use one!) and is good at opening doors. She loves being near people and is a little shadow who will follow you all around the house, and will jump on a lap the minute you sit down. She'll happily be stroked and brushed, but it is all on her terms.

Bella has had a history of biting, which is under control now and we feel it was due to her being frightened of open hands, which suggests she may have been hit in the past. If you approach her with a closed hand she's more than happy to receive a head tickle. She sometimes likes to practice her hunting skills on people's legs, but that may also settle down when she knows she's safe in her new home.

The ideal home for Bella will need to be quiet and without small children or other pets. We feel Bella will thrive in a loving and patient environment where she can feel settled and have space to run around, with plenty of toys and Dreamies.

If you can offer Bella the kind and caring home she so longs for and deserves, please call us on 07425 327772. Leave a CLEAR voicemail and include your name and phone number, and one of our volunteers will get back to you ASAP. Thank you so much.

Phoebe Bombay.jpg

Phoebe
Age: 10 years

Phoebe is a Bombay cat, which means she's not only absolutely stunning but she's also completely black, including her toe beans! She's a tiny girl who doesn't look or act her age, which is 10 years old, as she's very playful and loves to give head bops. She's also super fast and silent, a perfect little house panther! Phoebe can be very skittish though, and will hide if anything makes her nervous, like loud noises or heavy footsteps. She could potentially live with another cat, with gentle introductions, and would be okay in a home with older, respectful children. She's up to date with her vaccinations and is spayed and microchipped. If this tiny, gorgeous girl sounds like the cat for you and you can welcome her into your heart and home, please call us on 07425 327772. Leave a CLEAR voicemail and include your name and phone number, and one of our volunteers will get back to you ASAP

Daisy
Age: 8 years

We can't believe that this gorgeous bundle of cuddles and love is still waiting for her forever home. Currently with us at Lancaster and Morecambe Cat Rescue, Daisy will make a wonderful feline companion for the right person or family. She's a quiet and gentle 8-year-old girl who loves lots of attention and will show how much she adores being adored with loud purrs and by rolling over to have her tummy gently stroked. She's been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, so all she needs now is the perfect loving home and a lap to curl up in. If darling Daisy sounds like your kind of cat, please call us on 07425 327772. Leave a CLEAR voicemail and include your name and phone number, and one of our volunteers will get back to you ASAP.

Arthur & Rosie.jpg

Rosie and Arthur
Age: 6 years

Super fluffy brother and sister Arthur and Rosie are ready for their together forever home. Can you help them? They've been with us at Lancaster and Morecambe Cat Rescue while Arthur recovered from being poorly. They will need daily brushing to keep their fabulous fur tangle-free, and at 6 years old they're still a playful pair – cheeky Rosie loves to jump on her fosterer's back when she bends down, and both cats love to have their ears tickled. We would love these two to go together to a caring and stable home, where they could have access to a safe garden once they've settled. If you can provide a loving home for Arthur and Rosie, please call us on 07425 327772. Leave a CLEAR voicemail and include your name and phone number, and one of our volunteers will get back to you ASAP.

Meet little Barney who is around 7 months old and ready for his forever home. He's currently with us at Lancaster and Morecambe Cat Rescue and is a very gentle boy who loves cuddles and play, and is all black except for a small white patch on his tummy. He's still a little frightened of loud noises and will scurry back to his hiding place if startled, but soon comes out to play again. Barney has been neutered, microchipped and had his vaccinations and is ready for a lifetime of love and TLC. He has lived with other cats so could go to a home with a resident cat, with gentle introductions. If Barney sounds like the boy for you, please call us on 07425 327772. Tammy.jpg

Tammy
Age: 2 years

Adorable Tammy is a gorgeous girl aged 2 years old who is currently with us at Lancaster and Morecambe Cat Rescue. She's a little beauty who needs to be the only cat in a quiet and caring household, simply because she's still a little shy. We've seen time and time again how rewarding it can be to gain the trust and love of a nervous cat and if you're willing to let her settle in gently, with time and patience she will come round. You'll see her true personality shine through and she'll be your best friend forever. She's also been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If Tammy has touched your heart and you can offer her the loving home she needs and deserves, please call us on 07425 327772.
